They’re a strategic collection of art, photos and other personal items around some general theme or united by a general decorating scheme like the same frame. But figuring out where to put the nails and what pictures to hang next to one another can be overwhelming. Here are a few strategies to help:
Decide what type of look you want to go for: for example, you can use a cluster of differently-sized pieces in different frames, differently-sized pieces in similar frames, or similarly-sized pieces in exactly the same frame.
Trace out templates of all of your frames and other pieces, marking where the nail holes go, and use masking tape to put them on the wall.
Rearrange all you want. When you’re happy, nail in your picture hangers and level your frames. Once they’re all level, hot glue thumb tacks to the bottom corners of your frames to keep them level.
